Winter is almost over, and we're headed for warmer weather.  I love this time, since I get to transition from warm-weather fibers and delve into silk, bamboo, linen, cotton and other Spring/Summer friendly yarns.  Great things are coming for the upcoming season!

Illusion Knitting Wed, Mar. 16, 2 & 7pm
Learn Shadow Knitting techniques with Bonnie.  Class is $15.00; please bring two balls of worsted-weight wool: one near white, another near black (examples: cream with dark burgundy; pale yellow with navy; pale lavender with forest green; pale pink with dark brown; white with black), and needles (straight or circular) appropriate for the yarn size.

Crochet Amigurumi Thu, Mar. 17, 24 & 31, 2 & 7pm

Knit: April 5, 12, 19 at 2pm and April 9, 16, 23 at 1pm.

Amigurumi is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small stuffed animals. Come join us and learn how to create these little critters! During this three week course, we will learn the basics the first class and choose a pattern from the ones supplied or choose one you've had your eye one for a while! Week two will consist of working on the different parts and understanding how shaping works. Week three will be putting all the different pieces together. By the end of this course, you will be able to create many different critters and have one to show your friends.

Yarn Basics, Part 1 Wed, Mar. 30, 2 & 7pm
Have you ever wondered how to use a different yarn than a pattern required?  Are you unfamiliar with the weight classifications of yarn, and why they are important to your finished project?  We'll answer these questions, and more, in this mini-class.  Give your yarn knowledge a boost!  Bring a pen and paper.

Twelve Months of Christmas First Wednesday of Each Month
Motivation for gift giving: once a month we will get together, choose our own individual projects and target dates, then work them!  There will be prizes for goals met, workmanship and mastering new techniques.  Be ready for the holidays!  Prizes and certificates will be awarded at Tuesday and Friday UFO nights.

Everyone was productive in February! Take a look:
